Announcements
Thank you for your support this week! Let’s continue to work together for the success of our great young men! Hats off to all of our students who worked the polls Tuesday during such a historic election! Our young men shined at the poll and were featured on 103.9 The Light Radio Station thanks to Mrs. Troy calling in and advertising DNS being actively involved in the election process. Kudos to all of our DNS Men for staying abreast of the news and current events during the entire campaign and each day to guide them in their discussions during Morning Assembly!
CONGRATULATIONS to all of our DNS family members! This is a time to celebrate! As of Thursday, November 6, 2008 Durham Nativity School is officially registered with the Department of Non-Public Education in North Carolina! This certification is crucial to receiving our accreditation! We had our site visit from Rod Helder, DNPE Representative, this past Thursday and he was so impressed with our school that he wants other private schools to visit and replicate our standard of excellence in documentation and school wide procedures/operations. Kudos to all of the faculty, staff, and parents for a job well done! Now, we are ready to move forward with our accreditation application. Get ready, everyone, we may need your assistance in this effort!
The students truly enjoyed their field trip to Hillside High School for the stage performance of Beauty and the Beast! Thanks goes out to all of the parents for sending in $5.00 to support the cost of this field experience! Parents please don’t forget to review the thought and word of the week with your son so that he is prepared to recite and expound upon this information each day in Morning Assembly. Remember, students are now being graded on their public speaking and presentation skills during Morning Assembly. Thanks!
The November DNS PEP Meeting will be held Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.! This is our Thanksgiving Meeting and Fellowship! All parents are required to attend each monthly PEP Meeting! We look forward to seeing you there! Thanks!

*We are entering the DNS Basketball Season and want to be sure that you are aware of the game schedule so that you can come out to support the students!
